Senna's third year for Lotus. Honda would supply the engines, so they arranged Saturo Nakajima to be placed in car nr°2. Lotus 99T Honda, would be the '87 car.

Senna got disq. last race

On the 9th of September Senna signed a 3-year contract with Mclaren.

 

 

1988

Honda would follow Senna to Mclaren. Senna would partner Prost(or is it the other way around...???) Mclaren mp4/4 Honda(turbo) would give Senna his  first real chance for the title.

Senna deserved to win 1989, and he would have if there hadn't been the political involvement of Balestre, he favoured Prost and disqualified Senna...(he even told the press in 1997, that he disqualified Senna to help Prost)
